PinkPacker (CEO Jin○○, hereinafter "PinkPacker") announced on March 20 that it has been selected for TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup), South Korea's flagship private-investment-led technology startup support program operated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

TIPS connects high-potential early-stage startups with angel investment and pairs it with government R&D funding and startup support. Through this selection, PinkPacker will receive up to KRW 500 million in R&D funding, along with access to mentoring and global networking opportunities.

R&D Scope

PinkPacker's R&D program covers three core projects:

  • IoT-Based Cold Chain Quality Tracking System (PinkTag Enhancement): Development of IoT sensors and a platform to monitor temperature, humidity, and location in real time across all stages of refrigerated and frozen meat transport, with automatic alerts triggered by anomalies.
  • AI Trade Document Automation (Customs Assistant Enhancement): Advanced AI technology to automatically generate and review export/import documentation including certificates of origin, quarantine certificates, and export declarations.
  • Multi-Country Regulatory Database: Development of a Compliance AI module that collects and analyzes meat import regulations, sanitary standards, and tariff information across 8+ countries in real time.

CEO Statement

"This TIPS selection is a national recognition of PinkPacker's technology and our vision to digitalize global meat trade. We will use this R&D funding to develop PinkTag and Customs Assistant into globally standardized solutions, and accelerate our expansion into Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets within 2026."

Next Steps

PinkPacker plans to complete the TIPS R&D projects within 2026 and use the resulting technology to launch pilot projects in key markets including Kenya, Indonesia, and the UAE. The company also plans to offer these solutions to global meat importers and exporters as a B2B SaaS product.
